Invest Caithness Branding, Web and Design
When Caithness Chamber of Commerce was preparing to launch its Invest Caithness initiative, Dynam was commissioned to design and build the brand.
This is an initiative designed to promote the local area to two distinct markets. Firstly, it aims to encourage local businesses and individuals to commit their skills, resources and economic development potential to the area where they live and work. Secondly, it works to position Caithness as an essential destination for inward investors and visitors.
In response to the brief, Dynam created a strong logo partnered with the strapline Switch onto the potential. The I and C in this icon appear as a power switch, indicating the huge opportunities available in Caithness, to the target markets. The power switch conveys the accessibility of the proposition for businesses and individuals who make the decision to commit their resources to the development of this exciting region.
Having worked on the development of the brand, plus supporting marketing literature for the launch event, Dynam was commissioned to undertake the web design and development. The site reflects the wealth of activity going on in the area, from commercial enterprises to tourist attractions such as the O’Neill Cold Water Classic, which attracts surfers from all over the world every year.
Using a clean, simple layout with straightforward site mapping, visitors to the site can find out about the area and what it has to offer, and access different key sectors with growth potential. The site also addresses issues such as property options for businesses, assistance and advice, plus case studies profiling businesses who have succeeded in the area.
We’ve also designed and produced a number of directories for Invest Caithness, in collaboration with Highlands & Islands Enterprise addressing the oil and gas sector, tourism and food and drink.
