The BIG dinner initiative is a fundraising event that first took place on 7th March 2015, organised by the charity 500 miles. The aim was to raise over £500,000 in a single night to support people with mobility difficulties in Malawi and Zambia to live independent lives.

The event consists of hundreds of separate dinners eaten all over the world, some of which were showcased in a special web stream broadcast hosted by Fred MacAulay, who attended a celebrity dinner himself. There was also the opportunity to bid for the chance to have dinner with various well-known personalities including Kirsty Wark, Lorraine Kelly, Colin Montgomerie and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

Dynam provided the logo, branding and website for the BIG dinner event. The website allowed people to register for the dinner and to participate in the live online auction, which finished on the night of the BIG dinner. A strong focus on social media, a categorised blog and the use of video throughout the website kept the website interactive.
