Web Development

Once the planning and design phase is complete, our developers start the web build process, working from the design studio’s visuals.

This process begins with breaking down the flat visuals and building static web templates in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The result is a collection of standard compliant, accessible and cross platform compatible web templates, which are used to construct the functional website.

Most of the websites Dynam has produced over the last several years are powered by our in-house content management system (CMS) platform. The next step is to install, configure and customise the CMS for the particular project in hand. This involves replicating the website’s content structure using database tables and custom field groups so the CMS can store all the necessary information to power the website.

With the data structure in place, we start the process of coding the individual components of each web template into a format that will represent the content stored in the CMS, ensuring each part of the site displays the correct layout and content. Every component is coded using best practices to represent the content fully on a variety of devices, and assist in maximising Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

Before the site goes live, we invite the client to a training session where we run through the basics involved in populating, editing and maintaining the content on the website.
