As part of an ongoing multi-million-pound redevelopment, The Inverness Castle Experience will be a new visitor attraction in the heart of Inverness, honouring the 'Spirit of the Highlands' through its stories of past, present and future.
The castle is being transformed from its original use as the home of Inverness’ prison and courts into a celebration of what makes the Highlands of Scotland a special place to live, work and visit.
The Brief
As The Inverness Castle Experience prepares for its highly anticipated launch, our main requirement was clear: design a modern brand that avoids a typical, castle aesthetic. After all, The Inverness Castle Experience is unique; its interior will feature cutting-edge technology, which should be represented in the design.

Our Work
Branding and logo
We have created a brand and logo that evokes a sense of architecture on the outside and a magical experience on the inside.Inspired by the design of the ramparts that form the castle viewpoint, the outer circle frames the brand marque. The 12 segments inspired by the iconic Rose Window Room coalesce inside to create a sense of magic – a portal to another place and time.
The new brand and colours will feature in all aspects of the visitor attraction, from merchandise to exhibition design and exterior and interior wayfinding.

Seanchaidh Whisky
We also designed a whisky bottle embodying the art of storytelling - Seanchaidh (shen-ah-chee* (*ch as in loch)), Gaelic for ‘Storyteller’. With its carefully crafted design and rich narrative, this whisky offers customers and collectors a taste of the Highlands’ enduring magic.
