Background

Dynam won the contract to design and build the Scottish Energy Ports Capability Directory. Working with Scottish Enterprise, the British Ports Authority and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, our remit was to create a standout tool for Scottish Ports to showcase their facilities and services to the offshore energy sector as well as provide the industry with detailed information on Scotland’s port capability.

Dynam’s task

Our first task was to build a prototype test site providing a graphical demonstration of the proposed functionality of the Directory. The target audience included the offshore energy industry, consultants and industry bodies.

To achieve this, we undertook qualitative research to test responses to the prototype, and followed up results with further development. With approval secured by the stakeholders, Dynam went on to design and build the Capability Directory.

As a direct result of the positive response to the completed Directory, Dynam was then commissioned to design and build a dual language Directory for the Welsh Ports Authority which has recently gone live.
