Sharon Leon, based on Harbour Road in Inverness, is a family run business supplying the Highlands with high quality carpets and floor coverings.


Sharon Leon approached Dynam with a request for feedback on its current website. After thorough analysis, the company then commissioned Dynam to design and build a new website, using the recommendations from the audit as a basis for the brief.

It was important for Sharon Leon to make its website efficient and effective for customers. Sharon Leon wanted the main feature of the website to be a flooring selector, which helps customers identify which of Sharon Leon’s suppliers have products to suit their style and budget. Dynam created a bespoke product selector, which helps customers narrow down the search based on flooring type, room, pattern and price. This then tailored the search for each Sharon Leon customer to lead them to a specific carpet brand which might be of interest. The selection tool was designed using pictures and visuals, to take it away from simply ticking boxes. The selector extends Sharon Leon’s focus on excellent customer service, from the showroom to the website.

Online and Offline Marketing

Since launching the website we have had an ongoing contract to drive more traffic to the website and raise the company’s profile. Sharon Leon had always ran newspaper advertising campaigns so we suggested adding online advertising to the mix.

Since September 2015 we have been running social media advertising, Google search and display adverts for Sharon Leon, plus posting regular content on their behalf on Facebook and Instagram. We design and send out a quarterly e-newsletter to their past and current clients, and included in the fee is a bespoke monthly report which forms the basis of the next month’s campaign planning. We have also taken on responsibility for Sharon Leon’s offline advertising, advising which titles to advertise in and coming up with headlines, sub copy and a design for their adverts that works across all media, online and offline.

In 2016 we achieved:

  • More than 8,000 clicks to the website from our online ads
  • Around 350,000 people reached
  • A gradual increase in the number of website sessions

By playing the offline and online strengths of Sharon Leon’s proposition, we have delivered a coherent, stronger message that speaks to their target markets whatever media they’re looking at.
